Curriculum-based songs

Ms. Debreceny has been writing curriculum based songs for over twenty years, on a wide variety of subjects, including history, geography, science, and biographies.  She has produced six “operas” for young singers: “Renaissance!”, Homer’s “Odyssey”, “Eureka! – a Musical History of Invention”, “Dreams and Heroes – African American History”, “Ancient Civilisations”, and a commissioned work “Out of Darkness” for the Maryland School for the Blind.  Ms. Debreceny has been Composer in Residence at several schools, including the Bay School, Blue Hill, Maine, the Richmond Montessori School in Richmond, Virginia, and St. Jerome’s Academy, in Hyattsville, Maryland.
